I’m Jana Kukebal, a London commercial jewellery photographer specialising in on-model photography, e-commerce packshots and styled still-life imagery. With more than 12 years of commercial photography experience, I work with emerging and established jewellery brands to create polished visual content for product pages, advertising campaigns, social media and collection launches.

On-model jewellery photography

On-model jewellery photography shows customers exactly how a piece looks when worn - its scale, proportions, fit and relationship to the body.

This helps remove uncertainty when shopping online and allows customers to understand whether earrings are delicate or statement-sized, how a necklace falls on the neckline, or how rings and bracelets look in proportion to the hand and wrist.

These images are designed to work across product pages, website banners, social media and campaign assets, supporting both conversion and brand storytelling.

Still life jewellery photography

Product photography can range from clean e-commerce packshots to more creative styled still life.

White or neutral-background packshots keep attention on the jewellery itself and are ideal for product pages, catalogues and online marketplaces. They allow customers to clearly see shape, colour, finish and product details without visual distractions. Such images are also easier for visual-search systems to interpret because a clean background makes the product easier to recognise and understand.

Styled still-life photography serves a different purpose: it introduces props, surfaces, shadows and composition to communicate the personality of the collection. These images are particularly useful for homepage banners, launches, advertising, PR and social content.

How it works

1. Brief call & goals

We start with a short call to understand your brand and the end goal of the shoot. I’ll ask a few practical questions (products, quantity, styling, deadline) and based on this I’ll recommend the best approach and share an approximate quote and next steps.

2. Moodboard & shoot plan

Next, we build a clear plan together: moodboard, styling direction and shot list. This keeps the shoot efficient and ensures your images look consistent across your range.

3. Team & logistics (if needed)

If your project needs extra support, I’m happy to recommend trusted professionals: models, hair & makeup artists, nail artists, stylists, videographers, and studios. If you’d prefer me to take a more active role in organising the shoot - for example, sourcing and casting models, coordinating creatives - this can be arranged for an additional fee.

4. Shoot day + DELIvery

On the day, if you join me for the shoot, you’ll be able to review the images on a larger screen as we work, allowing for immediate feedback and adjustments. For remote shoots, I can share behind-the-scenes updates and image previews throughout the day, depending on the process we’ve agreed in advance.

After the shoot, you’ll receive the full set of images within 5-7 days. If additional detailed retouching is required - for example skin clean-up, metal polishing, etc - you can select the relevant images afterwards and I’ll provide a separate retouching quote.
