Do I need experience to start modelling?
No - experience is not required. Most models start with no prior experience at all. A modelling portfolio is usually your first professional step. During the photoshoot, I guide you through posing, expressions and movement, so you don’t need to know how to model in advance. Read my article about modelling career to learn more about it.
Do I need to be a certain height or size to model?
Not necessarily. Different types of modelling (fashion, commercial, lifestyle, e-commerce) have different requirements, and agencies look for many different looks.
Will the photos be heavily retouched?
No. For modelling portfolios, images are kept natural and agency-friendly.
Retouching is limited to light skin cleanup, colour correction, removing temporary marks. Agencies want to see what you really look like, not over-edited or filtered images.
What should I wear to a modelling portfolio shoot?
For initial model snaps, a simple, well-fitting clothes work best: plain tops (black, white, neutral tones) and slim jeans or simple trousers.
You don’t need to buy anything new - most outfits can be found in your own wardrobe. I provide guidance in advance so you feel prepared.
Is it safe for teenagers?
Absolutely yes ☺️ Get to know me or let’s arrange a (video) call to clear your concerns. Parents or guardians are always welcome to be present at the photoshoots. The environment is calm, respectful and professional. There is no pressure and no inappropriate posing.
Will this guarantee that I get signed by a modelling agency?
No, and anyone who promises that is not being honest. A professional portfolio improves your chances by presenting you clearly and professionally, but agencies make their own decisions based on their current needs.
